Blewett Gold Mine, Washington USA Approx 19.5 acres patented (land & mineral rights) and 40 acres unpatented (BLM claims under Oregon Administration). Access by year round road in sections 1, 2, and 3, Township 22N Range 17E, near Peshastin Creek, a tributary to Wenatchee River. The town of Wenatchee, Chelan County Washington is 17 miles west. Gold mineralization occurs in well defined fissure veins found in serpentinized host rocks. These veins contain gold, arsenopyrite, iron, sulphur and minor amounts of silver, lead and copper in quartz, calcite and talc. In the oxidized zone, native gold occurs in rusty, iron stained quartz.”In the deeper workings, the vein material is more characteristically composed of calcite with quartz heavily impregnated with arsenopyrite and pyrite, carrying gold that ranges from one dollar to several thousand dollars per ton, at $20.00 (USD, 1911) gold prices. In some of the richer pockets of the lower workings, large flakes and wire-like pieces of gold could clearly be seen with the naked eye. Many of the richest specimens occur in talc along the wall rock” (Weaver, 1911 p.72). There are four known parallel veins in the Blewett Mining District. These are known as the Ivanhoe or Gold Quartz, the Peshastin, The Pole Pick and the North Star veins. Located within the boundaries of the property are a 1000 foot section of the Ivanhoe vein and a 1500 foot section of the Pole Pick vein. A yet undetermined length of the North Star vein may also be intersected within the claims boundaries. In 1860, Prospectors returning from Similkameen and Cariboo Districts of British Columbia first discovered placer gold in Peshastin and Ingalls Creeks. In approx. 1874 the first quartz (lode) claims were located in the Blewett district as John Shafer discovered a vein at the head of Culver Gulch. In the late 1870’s a water powered six stamp mill was erected near Culver Gulch in Peshastin Creek and operated about 8 years. About 1891 a ten stamp mill was built at the mouth of Culver Gulch and in the summer of 1902 a six stamp mill with amalgamating plates was constructed about 1/3 mile west of the 20 stamp mill. During the late 1970’s a 25 tpd gravity mill was built on what is believed to be the old six stamp mill west of the 20 stamp mill mentioned above. This mill ran ore mainly from the Pole Pick vein located on the subject property. Between 1860 and 1950, limited recording provided a record of over 125,000 ounces of gold mined from the veins in the district. Before 1950, there were 5,100oz reported mined on the property, and then again in the 1980’s the property was producing, however no documentation is available for this period. In 2004, Goldfinger Resources Corporation, owner and operator performed sampling work, producing values between 0.12 and 0.29 ounces per ton gold from mine workings and outcrops, and dump samples ranging from 0.003-0.169 opt gold (Polepick mine located on patented claim). On the unpatented portion of the property, the Golden Eagle Mine has 2 tunnels totalling approximately 820 feet of workings. Assays from Weaver in 1911 showed values of $3.75 to $4.10. The old Ivanhoe mine has approximately 340 feet of underground workings over 2 tunnels. Several geological reports are available, including assessment reports and mapping of certain vein structures. An 43-101 report can be provided at an additional cost to the buyer. This property also features some high quality Douglas fir, and could lend itself to some interesting building sites on the patented portion. Numerous water sources exist in the area, deriving mostly from mountain-fed melt streams and creeks. The nearby town of Leavenworth Washington is a popular four season Bavarian Style tourist town reminiscent of the Alps. All amenities and accommodations are also available in nearby Wenatchee. This well documented property also features low annual payments and makes a strategic holding with great location, proven gold values, history of production, secure patented sections, numerous mining sites and plenty of unexplored ground. Cash offers preferred, reasonable offers may be considered. $250,000 USD. Mining.
