ROUCHON CREEK Gold Placer Claims for Sale $5,000!!
336 Acres, Minfile #093H091. The placer mining property is located in the Barkerville-Wells area of British Columbia. A 2006 43-101 was performed on ground covered by these claims, including the adjacent valley, in 2006. This grassroots exploration property is near the site of historic workings and Past Producing Gold Mine status. A program of seismic mapping was recommended in part of the location of buried paleochannel containing gold bearing gravel. Placer gold deposits of the Quesnel Highland region, including the former rich producers of the Barkerville camp, have accounted for a large proportion of British Columbia's alluvial gold production. Placer gold deposits in the region are generally found in relatively young Pleistocene gravels. The morphology and mineral associations of the gold suggests that it was derived locally; the most obvious sources are the numerous auriferous veins in the Downey succession of the Snowshoe Group. Most of the placer gold production from Rouchon Creek has been from workings in the stream bed. These workings apparently extended for about 1,200m upstream from the mouth of the creek. Latitude 53°08' Longitude 121°52' $5,000 for 100%.
