158 Acres. Over 1200m river frontage per side. From Minfile 092B078. The gold recovered from the benches was mined either at: a) a depth of 3 to 5 metres and 3 metres above river level on a clay "false bedrock" of a low bench on the north side of the Leech River that extends 400 metres upstream from its junction with the Sooke River or; b) on the bedrock beneath the shallow overburden on a rock bench about 3 metres above river level that extends more or less continuously on one side of the river or the other, at least as far as the first fork in the river about 5 kilometres upstream from Sooke River. Nuggets varying in size from 15.6 to 31.1 grams have been recovered. This claim, along with others in the Leech River/Jordan River/Wolf Creek area of the Capital Regional District of Victoria are accessible just North of logging operations on Southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
